Winding shaft for roll-up sun awning or window blind terminates in polygonal spigot

A sun awning, window blind or similar has a fabric panel which winds onto a cylindrical rod. The rod terminates at each end in a spigot which engages in a supporting flange forming part of a bearing. The spigot has esp. a polygonal cross section, or a flat-sided circular cross section. The aperture in the supporting side-flange is of a shape compatible with that of the rotating spigot.
