Ridge roof copper crown cap is pre-tensioned towards top tiles

A ridge roof has a copper crown cap with two side-shanks (14) linked at the top by a crown (16). Each side shank (14) incorporates a shallow copper water-permeable jacket (18). The inner face of the water jacket is joined to the outer face of a plastic lining (24), and on the outside to a sheet metal copper lining (30). The crown cap is slightly pre-tensioned towards the ridge.
