PURPOSE: A method for testing a wire overcurrent of an electrical load is provided which checks a wire setting easily appropriate for a fuse setting and a fuse capacity proper to current consumption characteristics of each load, and minimizes a damage of wiring harness. CONSTITUTION: According to the method, a vehicle is warmed up for a fixed time. An engine of the warmed up vehicle is turned off, and a power supply line is changed from a battery connection to a constant voltage power supply connection. The constant voltage power supply is then connected to battery (+) and (-) port of a battery cable. A channel selector and each measurement position and reference point are connected by constituting a device to measure a wire overcurrent of a vehicle electrical load(320). The constant voltage power supply is turned on and a test voltage is adjusted. An electronic load(330) is connected to the vehicle electrical load. A test current value is adjusted to a set current value of a fuse(310) capacity connected to the vehicle electrical load. Then, a conduction current value of the vehicle electrical load and fuse's melting time are measured, and heating or damage state of the wire connected to the vehicle electrical load are checked.
