PURPOSE: A device for controlling the power of a USB(Universal Serial Bus) is provided to prevent the unnecessary power consumption by automatically turning off the power of an internal circuit of a USB hub device and a connected USB device when the power of a host is turned off. CONSTITUTION: A host signal detector(220) detects a signal inputted from the host(100) through a data line connected with a data terminal of a USB interface(210) by connecting to the host(100) through the USB interface(210). A power supply part(240) supplies the power to the internal circuit and the USB device(300) connected through a USB device connector(250). A power supply controller(230) shuts off the power supply of the internal circuit and the connected USB device(300) by controlling the power supply part(240) according to an output signal of the host signal detector(220).
