A method for maintaining floor finished at least partially with a plurality of plastic tiles, plastic tile for that floor and a dirt removing mat for that floor. Plastic tile floor is finished with a large number of plastic tiles (20) placed removably on the underlying plane of floor, and one mud removing mat (60). When a protective film on the surface of a tile (20A) in a heavy pedestrian traffic area (A) wears away, that tile (20A) is replaced by a tile (20B) in a light pedestrian traffic area (B). When the protective film of the tiles (20A, 20B) wears away by such an extent as the tile can not be replaced, these tiles (20A, 20B) are replaced by tiles prepared previously at other place. When the mud removing function of the mud removing mat (60) deteriorates, the mat is replaced by a mud removing mat prepared previously at other place.
