摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which an electrostatic latent image can be formed more stably by suppressing adhesion of a foreign matter to a write electrode and regulating the potential of the electrostatic latent image optimally. SOLUTION: The write electrode 3a2 touches the rear surface of an image carrier 2 and a counter electrode 3b facing the write electrode 3a2 touches the surface of the image carrier 2. When back face writing of an image is performed on the rear surface of the image carrier 2 by the write electrode 3a2 , an electrostatic latent image is formed on the surface of the image carrier 2 by the counter electrode 3b. Since the write electrode 3a2 does not touch the surface of the image carrier, foreign matters do not adhere to the surface of the image carrier. A highly accurate electrostatic latent image having contrast can be formed by regulating the potential of the electrostatic latent image using the applying voltages of the write electrode 3a2 and the counter electrode 3b. When the in-plane resistance of a write layer 2b is set relatively high and the in-plane resistance of a conductive layer 2c is set lower than that of write layer 2b, the image is written with high accuracy and the potential of the electrostatic latent image is regulated with high accuracy.
