PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure printing plate, by which ink can be perfectly transferred and consequently no phenomena such as center omission, fill-in or the like develops, by a method wherein the inner surface of each cell is coated with an ink repelling coating agent. SOLUTION: In this gravure printing plate, a copper sulfate plating layer is formed on the base of a gravure plate and, after recessed parts are formed on the copper sulfate plating layer, a chromium layer is formed on the whole surface of the base and, after an ink repelling layer is coated over the whole surface of the base, a doctor sliding surface is lapped minutely so as to leave the ink repelling layer only at the recessed parts. The ink repelling layer is made of an imidazole fluoride.
