PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out planing in addition to original turning by using one vertical lathe. SOLUTION: A planer table 26, to which a linear axis, that is, Y-axis is added to feed a workpiece linearly for planing, is detachably mounted to an upper surface of a rotary table 12 for the vertical lathe that is rotated with the workpiece placed thereon for turning.
