PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized position sensor or sensor coil capable of keeping high precision at high temperature. SOLUTION: This medical device and position sensor used in medical fields comprises a position sensor having a core made of a highly magnetic permeable material. The core material is formed of a Wiegand effect material including mixtures of cobalt, vanadium, and iron. The position sensor has an outer diameter of about 0.4 mm, and it is used in a medical device having an outer diameter of about 0.67 mm. |
