<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to execute rapid defoaming and to perform stable operation by withdrawing the foam from a foam braking layer, breaking the foam with a foam breaker via a line separator and returning liquid into the absorbing liquid in a circulating tank and gas to an outlet waste gas. SOLUTION: A foam removing piping 8 is disposed in the part of the foam layer K in the part upper than the liquid level J of the absorbing liquid B stored in the tank 2 of the sidewall 7 of the circulating tank 2 and the part lower than the foam liquid surface G. The foam removing piping 8 is provided with the line separator 9 in midway thereof. The foam breaker 10 is connected to the outlet. The lower part of the foam breaker 10 is connected to the tank 2 by the piping for returning the foam breaking liquid E to the circulating tank 2. The connection is set in the position lower than the liquid level J of the absorbing liquid B. The upper part of the foam breaker 10 is connected to a discharge block 14 for sucking the foam breaking gas F by a piping 13 raised in midway up to a high level than the foam liquid level G. The outlet piping of the discharge block 14 is connected to the outlet flue 17 of an absorption column 1. The rise of the pressure loss by foaming is thus prevented and the degradation in the function of the equipment is prevented.</p> |
