PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiving method capable of reducing the capacity for storing program information by allowing a receiver to select necessary program information and to provide a receiver. SOLUTION: This digital broadcast receiving method for receiving program information multiplexed in a broadcast wave and sent from, with a program information receiving part 3 and selecting program information needed to be stored is a method for storing the program information sent from in a storage device 6 with limited a capacity, accepts keyword addition/elimination designated by a user with a keyword receiving part 1, and reduces the number of characters to be stored for program information that does not include a character string coinciding with an accepted keyword according to the capacity of the storage device 6 when storing the accepted keyword or receiving the program information multiplexed in the broadcast wave and sent from and stores the information.
