PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal arranging apparatus and a terminal arranging method of a multi-core cable, which have no degradation of productivity or misalignment, even with the narrow pitch of grooves of a cross section comb- shaped alignment plate. SOLUTION: Slits 10 of a slit plate 11 guide terminals of cable cores 3a to 3d into each groove 1a to 1d, while the part other than the slits 10 of the slit plate 11 plays a role of a mask, by relatively moving the slit plate 11 so as to position the slits 10 in each groove 1a to 1d of a cross section comb- shaped alignment plate 2, so that, misalignment is avoided and productivity is improved. Also, terminals of cable cores to be arranged in specific grooves are selected by conductivity test between terminals of all cable cores 3a to 3d at one end of the multi-core cable 33 and terminals of any given cable core at the other end, so that, alignment of the terminals of the cable cores into the grooves are made with sureness and ease, effect of misalignment prevention improved.
