<p>Carboxylic-gated-nitroxide (CGN) compounds and their esterified derivatives are discovered and disclosed as compositions and shown to have the potential in treating a variety of acute and chronic diseases and disorders resulting from reactive oxygen species (ROS) injury. Compositions for treating tissue damage from ROS injury containing CGN, or active derivatives thereof, in a suitable pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and diagnostic formulations are described.</p> |
