PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device having a private branch exchange function and a LAN connection function. SOLUTION: The private branch exchange function and a LAN switching hub are integrally incorporated in the communication device 3 to attain a configuration permitting function extension. Thus, the communication device capable of being extended as required through additional investment without needing wasteful initial expenditure is obtained.
