PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a low-inductance superconducting junction to operate at a high speed of >=20 [GHz] by reducing the inductance of the junction by adopting an extremely simple means, and to provide a method of manufacturing the junction. SOLUTION: In the lamp-edge type superconducting junction using an oxide superconductor, an upper superconducting electrode 24 is extended along a slope composed of a lower superconducting electrode 22 and an interlayer insulating film 23 and, at the same time, is terminated at an appropriate location between the junction 25 with the lower superconducting electrode 22 and the top of the slope of the insulating film 23.
