PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the characteristics of image data cannot be reflected on the edge emphasis as the edge emphasizing brightness calculated based on one operation method is utilized. SOLUTION: A simple brightness Ys is calculated by a first operation method for averaging mosaic color data of C, M, Y and G taken in via a CCD 26, and a brightness Ym is calculated by a second operation method for executing the data interpolation process, etc. By correcting image data with an edge emphasizing brightness Y' calculated based on the simple brightness Ys and the brightness Ym calculated by the different operation methods as above, the characteristics of the image data can be more reflected on the edge emphasis. |
