RESISTOR FOR PTC THERMISTOR, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve proper jumping characteristics with a resistor for PTC thermistor constituted by dispersing carbon particles in a thermoplastic resin, by improving the diffusivity of the carbon particles. SOLUTION: The carbon particles are heat-treated at a temperature, which falls within the temperature range of 200-600 deg.C in an oxygen-containing atmosphere. Thereafter, the resistor is obtained by kneading the heat-treated carbon particles with the thermoplastic resin and molding the kneaded product.
