PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile computing system having high safety. SOLUTION: A user authenticating means is arranged in both a server computer 5 and mobile terminals 1 and 2. A user must be authenticated by the user authenticating means 6 arranged in the server computer for using service programs 7 and 11 or data 8, 9, and 12 in an on-line state of connecting the mobile terminals to the server computer, and the user must be authenticated by the user authenticating means arranged in the mobile terminals for using the service programs or the data downloaded in an off-line state of cutting off the connection of the mobile terminals and the server computer.
