PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notifying system that can locate a place where an emergency takes place so as to quickly cope with it even when a notifying person cannot notice an accurate present position. SOLUTION: On the occurrence of emergency such as an affair or a fire, a user of a user terminal 1 uses the user terminal to inform a police station or a fire fighting station about it. Then the user uses the user terminal 1 to transmit location information of the present position. On the other hand, the police station or the fire fighting station receiving the notice receives the location information by using a police station/fire fighting station 2 and transmits the received location information to a computer 4. Then the computer 4 retrieves a current position of the user on the basis of the received location information and transmits the retrieved result to the police station/fire fighting station 2. The police station or the fire fighting station grasps the current location of the user on the basis of the retrieved result received by the police station/fire fighting station 2 and dispatches personnel to the current location.
