<p>The invention relates to an apparatus for welding cylindrical pieces or axially symmetrical parts. The apparatus comprises an electrode adaptor (1) in the form of a shaft supplying welding current to a welding electrode (2). The electrode adaptor (1) is insertable into a shielding gas chamber (3), which houses positioning and fastening elements (4, 14-18) for pieces (A-D) to be welded. The positioning and fastening elements are mounted on a disc-shaped cartridge (4), which can constitute a portion of the positioning and fastening elements. The cartridge (4) is attached releasably to a cartridge base (5), which is bearing-mounted (6) rotatably relative to the shielding gas chamber (3), the cartridge base (5), and the cartridge (4) attached thereto, having an axis of rotation (R) which is perpendicular to the plane of axes (A1, B1) of the pieces to be welded, whereby said axes (A1, B1), lying at an angle relative to each other, are brought alternately onto a common axis which coincides with the axis of the electrode adaptor (1).</p> |
