A method has a magazine (14) fitted to a servo driven nail gun. The rear end of a reciprocating drive shaft (12, 32) is fitted into the chuck of the nail gun. A nail magazine is clipped over the front of the drive shaft guide (10) and has the twisted nails (40) held between upright walls to feed into a groove in line with the drive shaft. An integral spring (20) returns the drive shaft into the loading position after each operation.
