PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging control method for lead batteries which enables sure detection of a trouble, if the trouble occurs when charging is performed, and enables charging finish in an appropriately charged state, when rapid charging is performed. SOLUTION: This lead battery 2 composed by integrating a plurality of electric cells. A gas detector 20 is provided for detecting a gas discharged through an exhaust passage from each unit, when charging is performed, and charging is controlled by detecting the discharged gases. |
