PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk-like optical recording medium having a circular hole at its center and can be beautifully printed by a thermosensitive transfer method up to the vicinity of the circular hole in the central part of the medium surface. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium is an optical recording medium having a recording layer on a disk-like substrate having the circular hole at its center, and characterized in that it has a toric groove section which is a circle concentric with the circular hole on the peripheral of the circular hole in the central part of a surface (label surface) reverse from the recording/ reproducing light incident surface of the substrate and has a coating layer on the groove section, and the groove width of the toric groove section produced on the outermost layer surface of the label surface is >=1 mm and the groove depth is <=100 μm. |
