The method uses a regulation and control unit (S), for controlling the speed of the drive motor (6) used for rotation of the washing drum (3) and a measuring device (M) evaluating the dynamic component of a signal provided by a sensor for the displacement or acceleration of the washing liquid container (2), within which the drum rotates. The drum speed are determined from the lowest frequency of the dynamic component and used with the minimum motor speed for self-regulation of the regulation and control unit.
