<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric sensor capable of performing accurate detection operation to be flexibly adaptive to fluctuations of received light quantity affected by fluctuations of an external environmental condition, temperature change in a sensor, etc. SOLUTION: This photoelectric sensor is provided with an operating means for generating a fluctuation average equivalent value of a series of received light quantity strings that are periodically acquired, an offset value setting means for setting offset quantity to be added to or an offset coefficient to be multiplied by the fluctuation average equivalent value, a first discriminating means for comparing a received light quantity value with a received light quantity threshold obtained by adding the offset quantity to the fluctuation average equivalent value to perform discrimination thresholding, and a second discriminating means for comparing the continuous number of same values of discrimination results by the first discriminating means with a threshold for deciding a continuous number to perform discrimination thresholding.</p> |
