SOLUTION: This excited light source unit (LU) is provided with N sets of excited light sources (11 to 14) to output excited lights with N (>=2) channels having different wavelengths to each other, a multiplexer (2) for multiplexing the excited lights having N channels, and an output structure (3) for supplying the excited light outputted from the multiplexer (2) to an optical fiber (L) for Raman amplification. Especially, at least one of the light sources (11 to 14) is provided with a wavelength variable excited light source that can change the channel wavelength of excited light to be outputted, and such a structure allows for adjustment of the excited light spectrum, thus improving the controllability of the spectrum of outputted signal light.</p>
