PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content delivery system that can quickly register contents in each of a plurality of distributed delivery servers and can reduce network cost thereof. SOLUTION: The content delivery system is so designed that the plurality of distributed delivery servers register and hold contents from content holder terminals and that any delivery server delivers contents to a player device. Each delivery server has a content accumulating part for registering and holding external contents and a content distributing part for copying and registering the contents registered and held therein in another delivery server. The content holder terminals have a content registering part for initially registering contents in a proximate delivery server. The content holder terminals initially register contents in a proximate delivery server, and with the delivery server as a direct or indirect starting point, the contents are copied and registered in each of the other delivery servers.
