PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stabilizing an image for the long term by suppressing unevenness of image and the change of color taste due to the difference of light quantities. SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus which is provided with a photoreceptor, a self-scan type LED (light emitting diode) array which is to be driven by a supply voltage and a resistance which is to be connected to the supply voltage, a power source part generating the supply voltage, a developing and transferring means actualizing the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor with the LED array on a copying substance and two or more of image forming means each of which includes above things (of two colors or more), a measuring means measuring the cumulative time of the operation of the LED array is provided and the supply voltage is adjusted to a prescribed value by controlling the power source part in accordance with a signal from the measuring means measuring the cumulative time of the operation of the array during the forming of an image to be supplied to the array. |
