PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whose rigidity can be made high and whose weight can be made light while preventing the occurrence of image distortion, etc. SOLUTION: As for the image forming apparatus where the device structural body is divided into an image forming part and a scanner part (image reading part) 9, and constituted by combining the image forming part and the scanner part 9, the structural body of the image forming part is constituted of a molded frame 12, and the molded frame 12 is supported by a metallic base plate (base plate member) 21 for forming the base of the image forming apparatus main body exclusive of the sheet feeding cassette part, and the scanner part 9 is supported by three supporting poles 13, 14 and 15 erected on three corner parts of the base plate 21 and a side plate (supporting side plate) 16 arranged in one remaining corner and formed to a box shape. |
