PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor having an excellent resistance against pull-out and an anchor installing method. SOLUTION: A tip portion of an anchor main body 34, a first edge member 36, a moving piece 40 and a second wedge portion 48 are inserted to the inside of an excavated hole 8 having a difference in level. Then, the anchor main body 34 is moved to a pull-out direction (-X), and the first wedge member 36 attached to the tip portion of the anchor main body 34 is moved in a pull-out direction (-X) as one united body. Then, together with the movement of the first wedge member 36, each moving piece 40 moves in the pull-out direction (-X) and slides on the upper semi-spherical surface 38 of the first wedge member 36 in the sloping direction, and a contact region 44 of each moving piece 40 moves toward the ground surface 28 from a different level portion in a direction having an acute angleθwith the pull-out direction (-X) of the anchor main body 34 and is firmly linked to the inner wall surface 32 of the excavated hole 8.
