PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear regulator having excellent frequency characteristics. SOLUTION: This linear regulator is provided with a bipolar device which is connected between a voltage source and a load, and the output of which is connected to the linear regulator, a feedback amplifying part connected so as to make negative feedback between the output of the bipolar device and a reference voltage in order to supply an adjusted voltage, and a capacitance amplifying circuit connected between the adjusted voltage and the output of the bipolar device, and the capacitance amplifying circuit has a first field effect transistor device connected to the base of the bipolar device so as to stabilize a current flowing from the base of the bipolar device to the output.
