PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device in which a video degradation caused by a phase deviation in the voltage waveforms of cathode driving signals and the voltage waveforms of grid driving signals is reduced. SOLUTION: The video display device is provided with a cathode driving circuit 2 which generates cathode driving signals RK, GK, and BK having voltage waveforms based on the voltage waveforms of inputted video signals and applies the signals to cathodes K1R, K1G and K1B of a color cathode-ray tube 1 and a grid driving circuit 3 which generates grid driving signals RG, GG and BG having voltage waveforms based on the voltage waveforms of inputted video signals and applies the signals to control grids G1R, G1G and G1B of the tube 1. The device is also provided with a video signal delaying circuit 4 which delays the video signals being inputted to the circuit 2 so that phase deviation in the voltage waveforms of the signals RK, GK and BK and the voltage waveforms of the signals RG, GG and BG becomes small.
