PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently improve the characteristics such as high temperature strength and oxidation resistance in cemented carbide for hot working used as the materials for hot working tools such as a roll for rolling, a die for forging and a cutting tool used for working the high temperature object to be worked, to increase the high temperature strength, oxidation resistance or the like in hot working tools such as a roll for hot rolling obtained by using the cemented carbide for hot use, and to stably perform the working of the high temperature object to be worked over a long period. SOLUTION: The cemented carbide for hot working uses the one in which the mean particle diameter of WC particles in WC-Co-Ni-Cr3 C2 based cemented carbide having bonding metal phases of Co, Ni and Cr3 C2 is controlled to the range of 3 to 10μm, and, further, ZrC or (Zr, Hf)C is contained in the range of 2.0 to 20 wt.% to the total content of the bonding metal phases.
