PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium with high-speed recordability and the shelf stability of a recording image is outstanding without deteriorating the whiteness of a recording layer, even when the medium is preserved under high temperature and high humidity conditions. SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording medium with the recording layer containing a colorless or a pale-color basic dye and a coloring agent which develops a color in contact with the dye, the coloring agent to be used is a eutectic body of a 3-(p-hydroxyphenyl)-1,1-3-trimethyl-5-indanol and a 4,4'- dihydroxy diphenylsulfone. |
