PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment and a method for recovering refrigerant which shorten a time for recovery of the refrigerant on the occasion of recovering the refrigerant from a refrigerator disposed of and thereby increases the number of disposal of the refrigerator. SOLUTION: A compressor 31 is disconnected from the main body 100 of the refrigerator, after sealing off piping 33, and a hole is opened by a drilling device 39 at the upper part 31a of the bottom of the compressor 31 fixed by a fixing means 38 for fixing the compressor at a prescribed position. The refrigerant is recovered by a refrigerant recovering machine 41. Thereby the number of disposal can be increased.
