PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the functional beauty while dispensing with parts of special shape and the surface treatment in an engine for a motorcycle provided with dummy covers for covering at least a part of a cylinder head from its side parts, and an overhead cover for covering at least a part of a head cover connected to the cylinder head from its upper part and side parts. SOLUTION: At least a part of each of the dummy covers 42A, 43A are fastened to an engine body 32 including the cylinder head 34A and the head cover 35A, by means of bolts 49, 60, and plural engagement projecting parts 66, 71 mounted on the overhead covers 64A, 65A having the shape covering the bolts 49, 60 are detachably and elastically engaged with the engine body 32 or the dummy covers 42A, 43A.
