PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a high pressure load provided to portions disposed on the secondary side of a safety valve by increasing the drainage capacity of the safety valve and reducing the pressure of a main flow passage when a pressure reducing valve is damaged. SOLUTION: This safety valve mechanism of the sanitary washing device comprises a hydraulic pressure releasing hole 4e provided between a feed water source and a nozzle for washing private parts, a valve element 4g normally closing the hydraulic pressure releasing hole 4e by a spring 4h and opening the hydraulic pressure releasing hole 4e against the energizing force of the spring 4h when a hydraulic pressure is increased to a specified hydraulic pressure or higher, and a body 4k storing the valve element 4g and having a drain port 4n. The permeable area of a communication part 41 formed between the outer periphery of the valve element 4g and the body 4k is made smaller than that of the hydraulic pressure releasing hole 4e, and the permeable area of the drain port 4n is made larger than that of the communication part 41.
