<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which comfortableness and the safety of heath are enhanced and short circuit can be prevented by ensuring a sufficient supply air volume. SOLUTION: Indoor air is taken in from air inlets 4a and 4c made in the upper and front surfaces of an indoor unit 1 by opening an open/close plate 19 and subjected to heat exchange through an indoor heat exchanger 3 before being supplied into a room from the first opening part 5a of an air outlet 5. At a specified timing, lateral louvers 11a and 11b turn to close the first opening part 5a and rotary plates 14 and 15 rotate to open the second opening 5b. At the same time, the air inlet 4c is closed by the open/close plate 19. Consequently, conditioned air flowing through an air duct 6 is delivered from the second opening 5b through a branch passage 13 and then guided upward.</p> |
