PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which does not contain a halogen compound, has excellent electric characteristics, heat resistance and mechanical properties, has good mold release property, when injection-molded, hardly has problems such as smoking and the adhesion of a flame retardant to molds, is preferable on environments, and has excellent impact resistance and high flame retardancy. SOLUTION: This polyphenylene ether resin composition comprises a polyphenylene ether-based resin, a condensed phosphate, and further a specific hydrogenated block copolymer and ethylene-propylene copolymer and/or ethylene-butene copolymer in a specific ratio.
