PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector in which a projection lens can be installed at a high position from an installation surface without causing backlash or drift even in a thin projector. SOLUTION: This projector (1) is provided with a 1st housing (2) having a projection lens (10) and a 2nd housing (4) whose one side is turnably coupled with one side of the 1st housing and it is characterized in that, when the projector is used, the 2nd housing is moved to the downside of the 1st housing, whereby the 1st housing is supported by the 2nd housing from the below. In the projector, the 2nd housing is utilized as the leg of the 1st housing when the projector is used. Thus, the projection lens can be held at a high position from the installation surface of the projector even in the case that the projector is thin when it is housed.
