PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a function regulator for retinoid relative receptor useful as a prophylactic/therapeutic agent for diabetes, hyperlipemia, impaired glucose tolerance, etc. SOLUTION: This function regulator for retinoid relative receptor (except retinoic acid receptor) comprises a compound represented by general formula (I) (one of R<1> and R<2> is a monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon group or a monocyclic aromatic heterocyclic group containing one hetero atom which may be substituted, respectively and the other is a hydrogen atom or the like; B is a 5- or 6-membered heterocycle (except 1,3-azole) ; A is an aromatic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic heterocyclic group which may be substituted, respectively; R<3> is a hydrogen atom or the like) or its salt.
