PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass fiber mat for a glass fiber-reinforced stampable sheet which is obtained by uniformly cutting/opening glass fiber and exhibits superior fluidity and resin impregnating properties and endures a continuous feed process, and a glass fiber-reinforced stampable sheet which shows high resin impregnating properties to glass fiber, low voids and exhibits uniform glass fiber dispersibility and good fluidity, and a molded product using the stampable sheet. SOLUTION: This glass fiber composite mat for the glass fiber-reinforced stampable sheet is obtained by needle-punching, from both upper/lower sides, a laminate formed of a glass fiber layer (A) constituted of a continuous swirl-like glass fiber strand and/or a chopped glass fiber strand and a thermoplastic resin fiber nonwoven layer (B) interposed between the former layers. The glass fiber-reinforced stampable sheet is obtained by laminating the glass fiber composite mat and not less than two layers (2) and (3) of a thermoplastic resin (C) and continuously heating this laminate under pressure with the help of a double steel belt and further, molding it in the form of sheet. |
