SOLUTION: In a color image forming apparatus provided with a pattern image forming means forming an already determined pattern and a pattern reading means reading an image pattern formed by the pattern image forming means, a pattern selecting means selecting the pattern to be formed by the pattern image forming means is provided and a plurality of types of patterns are formed on the same piece of paper.
