AMPLITUDE ADJUSTING CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplitude adjusting circuit in which a loss of gradation or the like on the white peak side caused by a cutoff adjustment is prevented when adjusting white balance. SOLUTION: The circuit is provided with a drive adjusting multiplier (1) which adjusts the gain of input video signals in accordance with a drive adjusting coefficient and outputs the signals, a cutoff adjusting adder subtracter (3) which adjusts the offset level of the signals in accordance with a cutoff adjusting value and outputs the signals and a peak value discriminating subtracter (5) which varies the drive adjusting coefficient to be given to a drive adjusting circuit so that the increase and the decrease of the levels of the white peak side of video signal output by a cutoff adjusting circuit are canceled in accordance with the cutoff adjusting value.
