PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability in assembling and reduce number of components and cost. SOLUTION: In a document carrying device including a paper feeding tray 201 having documents loaded, a feeding roller 412 carrying paper sheets loaded on the paper feeding tray 201 to a separating roller 414 for separating paper sheets one by one, and an overlap preventing roller 900 arranged to oppose to the separating roller 414, a fixing member 902 including a support part 902b rotatably supporting the overlap preventing roller 900 is formed with resin material, and the overlap preventing roller 900 is assembled on and fixed on the elastically deformable support part 902b of the fixing member 902. A cleaning member 930 cleaning a carrying means carrying documents is provided in downstream of the separating roller 414. The cleaning member 930 includes an elastically deformable fitting attaching part 930b. The cleaning member 930 is detachably attachable with the elastically deformable fitting attaching part 930b.
