PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer that is suppressed in maximum power consumption, reduced in size, price, and noise, and excellent in expandability. SOLUTION: This automatic analyzer is provided with a plurality of temperature control sections (100-1 to 100-n) which perform temperature control in accordance with the increase and decrease of the pulse width of supplied pulse power. The control sections (100-1 to 100-n) are provided with means of communications, communicate the data about their power consumption with the other control sections, and perform the temperature control at the communicating timing so that the summed total of the power consumption of the sections (100-1 to 100-n) may not exceed a certain value. Since the power consumption of the control sections (100-1 to 100-n) of this automatic analyzer is large and largely fluctuates, the sections (100-1 to 100-n) produce loud noise. In addition, when this analyzer is designed according to the peak power consumption of the sections (100-1 to 100-n), the size and price reductions of this analyzer are hindered. However, since the communication functions are installed to the temperature control sections (100-1 to 100-n), the power consumption of the control sections (100-1 to 100-n) can be leveled by linking the sections (100-1 to 100-n) to each other through communication.
