PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new amine compound suitable for an organic electroluminescent element hole injection transport material, and to provide an organic electroluminescent element which uses the amine compound and has excellent stability and excellent durability. SOLUTION: This amine compound represented by general formula (1) Ar1 , Ar2 , Ar3 and Ar4 are each a substituted or un-substituted aryl; R1 , R2 , R3 , R4 , R5 , R6 , R7 , R8 , R9 , R10 , R11 , and R12 are each H, a halogen atom or (O)n -Z [Z is a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl which may be substituted with one or more halogen atoms, or a substituted or un-substituted aryl; (n) is 0 or 1]}, and the organic electroluminescent element in which at least one layer containing at least one amine compound represented by general formula (1) is nipped between a pair of electrodes are provided.
