PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a headrest housing section and a seat for a vehicle having a feel of support. SOLUTION: The seat for the vehicle has at least a seat back 3 which is disposed with the housing section 8 at its apex 3a, a stay 9 which is disposed freely advanceably and retreatably in a vertical direction to and from the housing section 8 of the seat back 3 and a head rest 4 which is supported at this stay 9 and is freely rotatably and pivotally supported at the same. The front side FR and right and left sides of the housing section are covered with a pad 10 of the seat back 3 and an aperture 7 in which the head rest 4 is vertically movable is formed on the apex 8a side of the housing section 8.
