PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack which reaches the ceiling in which a safe footstool which is incorporated in the rack and easily arranged is disposed without bringing the footstool or its substitute from another place and also a high space is utilized without trouble. SOLUTION: The footstool is placed by turning a hook shape board upward in a horizontal direction and fixing the horizontal direction end to an auxiliary shelf board 4 of the rack. The auxiliary shelf board is fixed by providing a recession 5 having a sufficient depth in the shelf board 4 and inserting the horizontal side of the hook shape board into the recession 5. Gaps are arranged at the inner sides of rack sideboards 1 and the lower side of a normal shelf board 2 in the lower part of the rack, as for a footstool storage space, auxiliary sideboards 3 and the auxiliary shelf board 4 are arranged, and then, a space for storing the hook shape board is prepared.
