PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant which can be placed in a refrigerator, a toilet, an automobile, air-conditioned rooms, such as a living room and bed room, a closed place, etc., without being recognized as an deodorant. SOLUTION: This deodorant has an outer shell 2 consisting of a natural material molded to serve as an ornament or interior decoration, coconut husk active carbon 3 packed into this outer shell 2 and an inlet port 4 fitted into a hole opened in a portion of the outer shell 2. A product is formed by forming the outer shell 2 so as to serve as the ornament or interior decoration, packing the coconut husk active carbon 3 into the outer shell 2, firing the outer shell 2 in order to dry the outer shell 2 packed with the coconut husk active carbon 3, bonding together with the peripheral edges of the outer shell 2 so as to envelop the coconut husk active carbon 3 after complete drying of the coconut husk active carbon 3 and subjecting the outer shell 2 to a coloring treatment as the ornament or interior decoration.
